| In 2017,the Chinese Ministry of Education officially promulgated the new edition of the Science Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education in Primary Schools,which symbolizes that the development of science curriculum in primary schools in China has been improved at a certain stage and is conducive to the regularization of science curriculum in primary schools.Science education in Chinese primary school started late,and there is still a big gap between curriculum development level and other developed countries.Finland is well-known for its basic education.Education reform has always been at the forefront of the world,especially science education.After several reforms,Finland has formed a complete scientific education system.In order to draw lessons from advanced science education abroad and further develop science curriculum in our country,this study compares the new version of science curriculum standards in primary schools with the national core curriculum of basic education issued by Finland in 2014 in terms of research background,concept and text subject.The development of curriculum standards can not be separated from the progress of national curriculum reform.Firstly,this paper introduces the background of science curriculum reform and development in primary schools of China and Finland,and analyses the differences between China and Finland in their respective national conditions,cultures and educational backgrounds,which lays a realistic foundation for the development of this study.Secondly,in terms of the basic concepts of science curriculum standards in China and Finland,both countries pay attention to students’ principal position and advocate exploratory cooperative teaching;attach importance to the cultivation of students’ lifelong learning ability and sustainable development ability,at the same time,the basic concepts of science curriculum in both countries have their own emphasis,reflecting the different educational and cultural needs of the two countries.Through the comparative analysis of the framework,objectives,contents and evaluation suggestions of science curriculum standards between China and Finland,this paper describes the similarities and differences between the two countries in the main text of science curriculum standards,and analyses the reasons,so as to draw lessons for the development of science curriculum in China.Based on the above comparative analysis,the Enlightenment of Finnish primary school science curriculum standards on the development of science curriculum in China is summarized as follows:attaching importance to the cultivation of students’environmental awareness and health and safety awareness;attaching importance to the relationship between science and other disciplines,strengthening the research of phenomenal teaching;reasonably increasing the number of science class hours in each grade;strengthening the combination of students’ core literacy and curriculum content and objectives;attaching Importance to teachers’ professional development and enhancing teachers’ multidisciplinary teaching ability. |
