In order to better implement the guiding ideology of "health first" advocated by physical education teaching in Chinese colleges and universities,enrich and develop the connotation of public physical education,improve the comprehensive quality of college students,solve the problem of college students' lack of interest in physical education,and carry out the research on the reform of public physical education.It is of certain theoretical and practical significance to inject new educational ideas into the teaching reform,to solve the homogenization of physical education course content and the simplification of teaching mode under the traditional physical education mode,and to provide reference for the physical education reform in colleges and universities.This article takes Nanjing normal university(hereinafter referred to as Nanjing Normal University)public PE teaching reform as the research object,the Nanjing Normal University current of public physical education curriculum model,teaching target,teaching content,extra-curricular activities,sports teachers,facilities,and so on and so forth,the main research method is:consult literature material,expert interview,questionnaire and mathematical analysis,logic analysis and so on.The theoretical basis of this paper is the guidelines for physical education curriculum teaching in national colleges and universities issued by the ministry of education in August 2002(hereinafter referred to as the guidelines).Under the concept of "health first",a comprehensive and in-depth analysis is made,and the following research conclusions are drawn:Under the physical education concept of "health first",the connotation of Nanjing Normal University public physical education course was further enriched and developed,and the teaching quality and effect were improved.The implementation plan of the new curriculum reform has been basically implemented and completed well.The main innovation and practice are shown in the following aspects:firstly,the text structure of Nanjing Normal University syllabus is changed to make the teaching objectives and tasks clearer and the assessment more reasonable.Secondly,the development of sports training courses,art courses and "university-level excellent courses" pattern skipping improves students' sports interest and sports technical skills,and also drives the development of campus sports culture.Finally,the overall quality of the teachers is high,which is conducive to academic inheritance.The use of multimedia technology in and out of class puts forward higher requirements for teaching.The creative development of teachers' professional ability promotes the improvement of teaching quality.Nanjing Normal University sports connotation construction in university research has obtained certain result,but still not reach the expected vision,therefore the connotation construction also need tci continue to improve the following aspects:the concept of "health first" understanding is not deep,sports teaching goal emphasize sports skill goal,ignored the concept of "health first" in the field of sports participation,physical and mental health and social adaptation.The physical education curriculum is not reasonable enough,there are fewer new projects and class hours,the teaching quality of physical education theory courses is not high,and the extracurricular activities are not set according to the characteristics of a large number of girls,which affects the realization of sports skill goals under the concept of "health first".The teaching method is traditional and unitary,the examination and evaluation system is not perfect and perfect and fails to fully reflect the students' subjectivity and personality,which ignores the connotation of "people-oriented" under the concept of "health first".The teachers are short of young and energetic teachers.The teacher-student ratio is not up to par.The sports ground facilities are basically complete,but the sports ground is in disrepair,the equipment is dilapidated,the stadium charges fees,cannot satisfy the student's need.
