Practices and researches of effective teaching have been paid more attention among the numerous educators and used constantly in classroom teaching in recent years.The new curriculum standards now has raised new requirements for the reform of classroom teaching and teacher's professional developments.It really matters for every geography teacher on how to make classroom teaching more effective under the guidance of the new curriculum standards and reinforce subject concept and professional skills of the teacher at the same time.Therefore,it will be of great theoretical significance and practical value in exploring effective teaching method of senior high school geography classes to embody the new concepts,meet the needs of the new books,analyzing the phenomenon and reasons of inefficiency and improve geography learning ability of the students.the author introduces some related concepts and some basic theories.This thesis will focus on four theories,including the class hierarchy theory,the practical curriculum theory,the hermeneutics theory,the self-monitoring theory,the constructivist learning theory and the theory of multiple intelligences.This paper,under the guidance of relative theories,taking data studies,questionnaire methods,statistical analysis and evidence verification methods and so on,investigated present implementation status and analyzed existing problems and the causes and came up with effective classroom teaching methods and teaching cases examples and designed effective evaluation scale of teaching class for different types,here is our conclusion:(1)Investigation on effective teaching implement status of geography classes.We investigated geography teachers of the First Middle school of Jilin city and 248 arts students through interview and survey.According to the survey,although the teachers are really concerned in improving the efficiency of classroom teaching,they usually don't know exactly how to put it into practice.According to the questionnaire,the students showed somewhat less interested in geography and they just had to study it under the pressure of the College Entrance Examination,which can be deemed something may be improper in the content of geography class and its settings.The students tend to fail to get the essence of those important and difficult knowledge in class owing to lacking of enough class hours and latest teaching resources;Our traditional teacher-dominate mode doesn't work on stimulating learning enthusiasm of those students born after 1990 s,which directly leads to unsatisfactory results of those three aspects;The singleness of the subject and pattern of teaching evaluation failed to unfold the study potentiality of the students.Both the interview and the questionnaire showed the voices of teachers and students to improve classroom teaching efficiency.(2)We present our teaching promoting strategy based on three aspects: efficacious interpretation and management of textbooks,determination of teaching contents and setting of teaching goals.In interpretation and management of textbooks,we emphasizes that teachers expand their professional knowledge and improve their interpretation ability and meanwhile induced the main strategy on mastering textbook interpretation.In determination of teaching contents,teachers are supposed to do reasonable trade-off and pay attention to the abilities of the students such as presentation ability and make sure the teaching contents are related from the beginning to the end and point out specific important and difficult ones.During the setting of teaching goals,teachers should present formally and clearly,and particularly focus on the establishment of emotional attitude and values of those three aspects.(3)We present implement strategy on effective teaching activities based on effective utilization of modern teaching technology and effective lecturing.Whereby,effective utilization of modern teaching technology will help teachers adapt to the new era and bring a little color in classroom teaching with the fast development of multimedia technologies and improve their ability to integrate teaching contents.Effective lecturing will remind our teachers to expand and update their professional knowledge and mastering teaching technology and principles.(4)We elucidate the implement strategy of effective teaching from evaluating diversity and proposition view.Through developing diversity evaluation,we make it possible for teachers to initiate diversified classroom evaluation ideas and lead them to integrate simultaneous evaluation and suspending evaluation and promote the objectivity of teaching evaluation.We elaborately set all kinds of academic evaluation text questions,highlighting subject characteristics and encourage teachers to look up geographic information of poems and songs to integrate effectively seriousness of traditional exams with day-to-day activity of geography and assessment of the knowledge with the flexible application and exertion so as to realize timeliness of teaching evaluation.(5)We invited our colleagues to attend and review a lecture on the basis of constant teaching practice,summarized and presented target system and grading scale of effective teaching evaluation for four class types: new lessons,exercise lessons,review lessons and commenting on test papers lessons.
