As a mother tongue education,Chinese education should impart certain Chinese knowledge to students,cultivate their ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing,and also transfer multicultural knowledge different from that of their own nation to students.Since the reform and opening up,in order to meet the new needs in the field of education in our country,the reform has been carried out continuously,which makes the high school Chinese teaching materials undergo many changes,and the foreign selected articles in the teaching materials are also in constant change and development.In every reform of teaching materials,how the number,time and space distribution,style and value orientation of foreign selected articles change,and what is the basis for the change of foreign selected articles are all problems that need to be studied.This paper focuses on the foreign selections in the1979,1983,1987,1990,2000,2003,2007 editions published by the People's Education Press after the reform and opening-up,as well as the foreign selections in the Chinese Textbooks for senior middle schools compiled by the ministry,this paper makes a statistical analysis on the quantity,space-time distribution,style and value orientation of the foreign selected works,and points out the advantages and disadvantages of the changes of the foreign selected works.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper is mainly divided into three chapters: the first chapter is a comparative analysis of the number,space-time distribution,style and value orientation of the foreign papers selected from the eight editions of the Chinese textbooks for senior middle schools published by the People's Education Society since the new era.In terms of the number of selected texts,the proportion of foreign selected texts in the total number of selected texts in the same edition is on the rise as a whole,which shows that the number of foreign selected texts in the various editions has increased,focusing on the works of European and American countries in the 19 th and 20 th centuries,and from the perspective of style and value orientation,the Chinese textbooks of 1979--1990 edition for senior middle school mainly focus on novels and selected essays,after 2000,the Chinese textbooks for senior middle schools expanded the types of selected essays,the number of practical essays increased,and the orientation of Aesthetic Education and knowledge and practice education was emphasized.The second chapter will explain the reasons for the change of foreign selected articles in Chinese teaching materials in high school since the new period from three aspects: the syllabus and curriculum standard,social development and the change of educational purpose.The third chapter is the reflection and suggestion on the change of foreign selected articles in senior high school Chinese textbooks published by pep.Since foreign selected article in the new period change present a certain advantages,such as foreign selected article number is on the rise,in general,pay attention to the choice of foreign works of practical text,etc.,but also exposed some shortcomings,such as the ratio of practical texts in the textbooks is too high,cause loss of selection of literariness,foreign selected article,and narrow space and time.In view of the above problems,the author puts forward some Suggestions,which can be summarized as the following.First of all,the textbook should select the literariness and the time of the combination of foreign excellent works,enhance the literariness of the selected text.Secondly,the spatial and temporal distribution of selected works is expanded to select excellent works in different periods and regions.Thirdly,the selected foreign articles should be closely related to students' life,stimulate students' interest in learning foreign works,improve their learning enthusiasm and promote their mental health.Finally,the textbook can select works that reflect the characteristics and spiritual ideas of foreign literature,so as to improve students' literary literacy and establish correct values.
