As the main support of mother tongue education,Chinese subject has always been the main course of middle school education in our country.The teaching material of Chinese has naturally become the important support for teachers to impart knowledge of Chinese subject in every period.The Chinese textbook compiled by Mr.Ye Shaojun and Mr.Xia Mianzun has attracted more attention since its inception,and has become a unique junior middle school Chinese textbook in the period of the Republic of China.It not only influenced the middle school education of the Republic of China at that time,but also played an important role in the compilation of Chinese textbooks.Since the May 4th Movement was introduced into China,foreign literary works have gradually appeared in Chinese textbooks and become an important component of the Chinese textbooks.Foreign literature is different from Chinese traditional culture.It plays an important role in broadening students' horizons and cultivating students' aesthetic ability and cultural accomplishment.Foreign works account for more and more foreign works in the process of continuous improvement of Chinese textbooks,but there are still some unreasonable aspects in the selection and compilation of foreign works in the current Chinese textbooks.This paper takes foreign literature as the research object and makes a comprehensive analysis of foreign works in the teaching system of this set of teaching materials by means of the literature method,the statistical method and the comparative analysis method.First of all,from the historical background,the editor's selection,the translator's group,the work's own characteristics and so on,this paper explores the reason why the foreign literature works can be included in the textbook.Secondly,this paper analyzes the possible problems by studying the foreign works as the text of the textbook carefully.Thirdly,from the perspective of practice,this paper explores the reasons for the differences between the two texts by comparing the " Chinese Hundred-eight Units" with the foreign selection system in the textbooks of the junior high school.Finally,it summarizes the enlightenment of the " Chinese Hundred-eight Units" on the foreignlanguage selection of the junior middle school Chinese textbooks,and then puts forward suggestions for the selection of foreign works of junior high school Chinese textbooks.
