As an important place connecting the school and the society, the good adaptability of freshmen to the school is closely related to their personal growth and development. However, the research in recent years shows that the school adaptability of freshmen(hereinafter referred to as "college freshmen")is not optimistic, and the school adaptability problems emerge in endlessly, which affects the quality of talent training in China. As an important factor affecting the school adaptability of freshmen, physical exercise has not been attached importance to by schools and families for a long time.Students can not consciously and actively participate in physical exercise, which makes physical exercise fail to play a positive role in school adaptation. Therefore,to improve the school adaptability of freshmen,we can consider from the perspective of mining the ability of self exercise of freshmen, and enhance the school adaptability by guiding freshmen to participate in physical exercise consciously and actively.Intentionality self-regulation focuses on stimulating the development potential of teenagers from the subjective initiative, which has certain guiding significance for improving the autonomy of freshmen to participate in physical exercise and their school adaptability.Based on this, this study selects three indexes of intentionality self-regulation of physical exercise, physical exercise behavior and school adaptation, analyzes the basic status quo of intentionality self-regulation of physical exercise, physical exercise behavior and school adaptation of freshmen, and correctly understands the relationship between intentionality self-regulation of physical exercise, physical exercise behavior and school adaptation of Freshmen.By using the questionnaire survey method, taking the physical exercise intention self-regulation scale, physical exercise behavior scale and school adaptation scale as the research tools, using the method of stratified random sampling, taking the freshmen of 11 universities in Shandong Province as the research subjects,1100 questionnaires were distributed,1094 questionnaires were recovered,1059 effective questionnaires were obtained after sorting out, excel 2010 and SPSS were used 22.0 and amos24.0 input, collate and analyze the data, and draw the following conclusions:1.College freshmen' physical exercise intention self-regulation and its dimensions, physical behavior and its dimensions, school adaptation and its dimensions are above the middle level.2.College freshmen' physical exercise intention self-regulation,physical exercise behavior and school adaptation are influenced by gender, age, place of origin and professional category.3.There are two correlations among physical exercise intention self-regulation,physical exercise behavior and school adaptation, and physical exercise intention selfregulation can positively predict school adaptation, physical exercise intention selfregulation can positively predict physical exercise behavior, and physical exercise behavior can positively predict school adaptation.4.The physical exercise intention self-regulation plays a positive role in the school adaptation of college freshmen, and the physical exercise behavior plays a partial intermediary role between the physical exercise intention self-regulation and school adaptation.According to the research conclusion,it is suggested that parents and schools should strengthen the cultivation of Freshmen 'intentional self-regulation ability in physical exercise, guide students to adjust their own state by using the intentional selfregulation strategy in physical exercise, and improve the level of Freshmen' participation in physical exercise. At the same time, freshmen should set up correct sports values, cultivate the habit of independent exercise, and actively participate in sports activities,so as to improve their school adaptation level.
