| As an important stage of talent training,students face not only the pressure to strengthen their study and improve their professional ability,but also life and career selection.Under the situation of multiple pressures,the physical health level of college students has also obviously changed.In recent years,various physical fitness problems,a surge in the rate of subhealth and mental health problems among college students have emerged frequently [1].With the high level of support from colleges and universities for college students to participate in physical activity,some students are weak in participating in physical activity behavior independently and consistently.Therefore,this study aims to develop students’ physical and mental health by combining the meanings of intentional self-regulation,physical exercise and procrastination behavior and establishing a mediation model to explore the relationship between intentional self-regulation,physical exercise and procrastination behavior among college students,i.e.,to verify whether there is a mediation effect of physical exercise between intentional self-regulation and procrastination behavior.In this study,we used the literature method,expert survey method and questionnaire method to investigate the current situation of intentional self-regulation,physical exercise and procrastination behavior among college students in the undergraduate classes of 2021,2020 and2019 at Yanbian University,analyzed the relationship between the differences of the three variables,analyzed the predictive effect of college students’ intentional self-regulation on procrastination behavior,and tested the effect of physical exercise on procrastination behavior.The study was conducted to examine whether there is a mediating effect of physical exercise between intentional self-regulation and procrastination behavior,and to provide reference for improving the study of intentional self-regulation in physical exercise and reducing procrastination behavior among college students.The data were processed and analyzed using SPSS and AMOS analysis software,and the results showed that.(1)The mean scores of college students’ intentional self-regulation as a whole and its dimensions were at a medium level,which were influenced by gender,grade,major and family origin;college students’ intentional self-regulation was not influenced by ethnicity.(2)The overall level of physical exercise is at a medium level of physical activity,which is influenced by gender,grade,major,family origin,and ethnicity.(3)The overall level of procrastination was at a moderate level,influenced by gender,grade,and major;procrastination was not influenced by family origin and ethnicity.(4)Intentional self-regulation was significantly related to physical exercise and had a positive predictive effect.Intentional self-regulation was significantly related to procrastination behavior with a negative predictive effect.Physical exercise was significantly associated with procrastination and had a negative predictive effect.(5)Physical exercise plays a partly mediating role between intentional self-regulation and procrastination behavior among college students,and the mediating effect holds.Suggestions: strengthen the promotion of sports,use the Internet and realistic propaganda,etc.to enhance college students’ awareness of independent exercise,and suggest that schools indirectly increase the frequency of college students’ exercise by implementing exercise programs and insisting on them.Holding weekly psychology extracurricular communication sessions,in addition to the psychological knowledge learned in the classroom,more relevant to the students’ life problems,and solving them psychologically,can help students enhance their self-confidence,improve their life management,and reduce the emergence of procrastination behavior. |
