Junior middle school is the key period to cultivate and enhance students' interest in mathematics learning,and it is also an important turning point for students in the future.Mathematics is an abstract and comprehensive subject based on logic,which makes it more difficult and profound than other subjects.Nevertheless,for most students nowadays,learning mathematics is more a task than an interest.The present situation is that mathematics teachers often teach in the classroom heart and soul while students try hard to be serious about learning,but in vain.The result doesn't come out as is expected.Students' mathematical thinking and ability,as well as the interest in mathematics learning have not been promoted.On the contrary,they lose interest in mathematics learning.This paper focuses on how to improve students' interest and efficiency in mathematics teaching in junior middle school,and explores the main factors that affect students' learning interest and efficiency,and how to improve the situation.Through the investigation and analysis of the situation of the students in the writer's working school,this paper focuses on the present situation and problems of mathematics teachers in junior high school after studying the research results of relevant literature at home and abroad.Meanwhile,the problems and difficulties of mathematics learning for students and corresponding solutions and measures are also covered in the paper by interviewing and observing in class.This paper is divided into the following six parts:The first part is introduction.The issue,the purpose and significance of the study,in addition to the difference among interest,interest in learning,interest in mathematics learning by defining are included.The second part is a literature review at home and abroad,combing the domestic and foreign literature about interest.For the domestic literature,the writer specifically review from three aspects--the interest in learning mathematics,the influencing factors and cultivating the learning interest.The third part is through the interview survey method to understand the current situation of junior high school students' mathematics learning and their attitude towards mathematics learning.The fourth part is about the factors that affect the effectiveness of mathematics teaching and students' interest in learning in junior high school.The main reason is summarized into fourcategories,namely,students' own reasons,family environment,school environment and social environment.The fifth part is to put forward useful learning strategies in mathematics learning based on the analysis of the impact in the third chapter.It can be divided into five categories,which are the solid foundation of students,the guidance from teachers,the variation of teaching methods,the simplification of difficult points,and last but not least,the link of theory with practice.The sixth part is about strategies to improve academic performance based on cognitive psychology.Psychological identity is the beginning of interest,so it is helpful to explore the specific ways of improving achievement from the perspective of cognitive psychology.Specifically,it discusses the reasons for poor academic performance,and then measures to be taken.That is,teachers should be aware of improving teaching efficiency in class,attach importance to the effect of class teaching goals,and pay attention to the feedback from students.At the same time,teachers are supposed to strengthen the intelligence training and the cultivation of non-intellectual habits of students.The teaching content should be based on the reality of students' life,and a good teacher-student relationship should be established in order to create a harmonious and effective atmosphere in mathematics classroom teaching.The seventh part is the conclusion.It summarizes the viewpoints,problems and shortcomings of the research and prospects for the future.
