In our country,the situation where Chinese teachers working as head teachers is very common in most middle schools.And because of the key position of Chinese subject,this situation will still exist for a long time in whether high school or junior high school.A Chinese and head teacher is a dual role.Chinese teachers need to constantly improve their teaching level and pay attention to the result.While head teachers need to take into account all aspects of school,course teachers,students and parents.Both Chinese teaching and head teacher's work are very important,so the Chinese and head teacher should not favor one or another even though the pressure is huge.However,the current situation in the front of education and teaching is worrying: most Chinese teachers do not want,don't dare,and are not willing to be a head teacher.Therefor," being forced to be a head teacher " becomes a common phenomenon.In fact,the Chinese teachers have unique advantages over other subjects teachers when they are working as head teachers,although there are many disadvantages.But if they can correctly understand and use them,they will be beneficial to promote the development of education and teaching.The author has four years of working experience as a first-line Chinese head teacher.On this basis,the author researches and analyzes the current situation,advantages and disadvantages and concrete measures of Chinese teachers working as head teachers in middle schools by combining the specific cases and actual investigation of many first-line Chinese head teachers and studying the monographs and essays of excellent Chinese class teachers.This paper is mainly divided into five parts.The first part introduces the background and significance of the topic,expounds the current research situation at home and abroad,and summarizes the main research methods of this thesis In the second part,the present situation of the middle school Chinese teacher working as class teachers and the influence on the students' Chinese achievement are investigated.Also the feasibility of the combination of the Chinese teaching work and the head teacher work is analyzed.The third part discusses the unique advantages of Chinese teachers working as head teachers in middle schools,mainly starting from the case of real practise of education and teaching,and analyzing how the two roles promote each other.The fourth part,the author presents the disadvantages of Chinese teachers working as head teachers by analyzing real cases.The two roles are easy to play excessively,thus affecting the development of teachers and students in the long run.The fifth part,after recognizing the advantages and disadvantages,the author try to combine the two roles appropriately to explore how the first-line Chinese teachers working as head teachers can make full use of the advantages and overcome disadvantages in the specific work.Finally,it is concluded that in the long-term practice of education and teaching,Chinese teachers should fully recognize the internal relationship between Chinese teaching and the work of the head teacher,explore the beneficial influence of each other actively,overcome fear,and be willing to be a class teacher.This cannot only arouse the resonance of the first-line Chinese teachers who work as head teachers,but also provide valuable experience to other course teachers who are also head teachers,which is beneficial to the development of education and teaching in the middle school of our country.
