American basic music education has always been at the forefront of the world,and its teaching content,curriculum and "people-oriented" education concept have a certain degree of advancement.In 2014,the United States promulgated the "National Core Art Standard",still designing and planning art education from a post-modern perspective based on the "people-oriented" education concept.Due to the characteristics of the US federal system,different states have different state standards.State standards and national standards complement each other,while retaining the characteristics of state standards.On this basis,Missouri has set a grade art for the development of music education.The Expectation Level(GLE),the grade art expectation level is a programmatic document for basic music education in Missouri.Take the Missouri Public Elementary School Mark Twain Elementary School as an example.Under the joint guidance of the national art education standards and the state art expectation level,its teaching content presents a variety of features such as rich teaching materials,diverse activity courses,and large student initiative.In order to give some inspiration to music education in primary schools in China.
