With the formation of the theory of "core literacy" in China,education for students in China has changed from traditional knowledge teaching to the current teaching of ability defined by "core literacy",and more and more attention has been paid to the cultivation of all-round development of students’ personality.However,the practice of Chinese teaching in high schools is still out of touch with lags in relevant theoretical research.Under the current college entrance examination system of evaluation,students and their parents are eager for quick success and quick benefit.In some high schools,science lessons are attached more importance to than liberal art lessons when it comes to curriculum arrangement,which,along with the related evaluation system makes the practice of the Chinese teaching based on core quality become an urgent problem to be solved.Sichuan is going to implement new curriculum reform in high school and the language discipline will be paid more and more attention to.After the new curriculum reform,it will not be adequate for students to just learn from class.Students’ accomplishment can be limited by classroom,so literary communities can be a good approach to extend the boundary of the classroom and to enrich the content of the class.However,currently the literary communities lack both the guidance of the theories and the successful experience that can be used for reference,and there are no practical methods to be applied.The paper is to clarify the connotation of boththe core literacy and the literary communities in high schools by searching the literature,and to collect,sort and summarize the problems of the existing Chinese teaching and the development of the literacy clubs through the way of questionnaires and interviews,as well as logically analyzing the relationship between the development of literary communities and the elevation of the core literacy.Through the further elaboration of the relationship between the literary communities and the core literacy,the research is complementary to the existing theories.In addition,based on the research above,it is instructive and operable for Chinese teachers in the process of the practice and the construction of literary clubs.
