An Experimental Study On The Promotion Of Independence Of Children Aged 4-5 Years By The Theme Activities Of The Picture Book

Children's independence is the prerequisite for children to adapt to society,the key to their healthy physical and mental growth,and an important part of their healthy personality.The research shows that the independence of children aged 4-5 develops rapidly,so the intervention of children in this period can effectively promote the development of children's independence.Picture books are considered to be suitable for young children,which have abundant educational connotation and high educational value.In this study,two middle classes aged 4-5 years were randomly selected from a kindergarten in Tianjin as experimental research samples.They were divided into experimental group and control group with 32 children as subjects.Before the experiment,two groups of children were pre-tested,and then the experimental group was given independent picture book theme activities.The control group was given independent picture book self-reading.After 8 weeks of experiment,two groups of children were post-tested.From the results of the experiment,it can be seen that the independence level of the three dimensions of self-reliance,self-control and self-assertion of the children in the experimental group is higher than that of the children in the control group through the theme activities of picture books.Based on the study,the following suggestions are made:1.Teachers should pay more attention to the theme activities of picture books.2.Teachers should pay attention to the cultivation of independence of 4-5-year-old children.3.Teachers should carry out independent picture book theme activities in different dimensions.4.The cultivation of independence should follow the principles of gradual,continuous and individual differences.
