The close relationship between writing and learning has been paid close attention to by the American educational circles for a long time,which is reflected in the "Writing Across the Curriculum" movement that rose in the American higher education circles in the 1970 s,the teaching reform movement that started in the higher education circles,and also has a profound impact on the basic education.Since the 1970 s,American mathematics teachers and mathematics education researchers have made many attempts,applications and researches in mathematics writing,accumulated many experiences and methods,and obtained the important functions of mathematics writing in the development of mathematics knowledge,achievement of problem-solving,cultivation of reflective behavior,promotion of emotional flow and enhancement of dialogue and communication.Mathematics writing has been widely used as a tool of mathematics learning in the United States.In China,many cities and regions have started the upsurge of "mathematics writing",but the early mathematics writing is in the form of "mathematics diary","mathematics weekly record" and "mathematics essay".In 2001,the research on the theory and practice of mathematical composition was established as a provincial planning topic.At the same time,many schools have opened a new mathematics education and teaching mode of "mathematics writing",which has also received the attention of the Chinese education community.In the west,the research system of mathematics writing has been mature,and more and more mathematics teachers have practiced in mathematics class,but the research and application in our country is very weak,which is still a new thing in development.So as a new thing,how is mathematical writing in the process of implementation? Are there any problems and puzzles in the process of implementation? Have the advantages of mathematical writing been fully exploited? Therefore,the implementation of mathematical writing has become a topic of concern to the author.This research takes two senior high schools in the alliance of mathematics writing schools as the research object,constructs the basic framework of the implementation of mathematics writing through literature reading,compiles the questionnaire and interview outline according to it,launches from three dimensions of students' attitude,understanding and implementation of mathematics writing,adopts the survey method,interview method and case analysis method to investigate and study the current situation of mathematics writing,and according to the According to paugalee's classification standard of mathematics composition,this paper analyzes the students' mathematics composition,finds out theproblems in the implementation of mathematics writing,and puts forward corresponding suggestions.Through the investigation and research,it is found that the students' attitude and understanding of mathematics writing still need to be improved,and there are some problems in the process of implementation: the students' writing direction is confused;the teachers and students' writing attitude is not active;the writing interval is too long;the overall writing efficiency is low,etc.In order to solve the above problems,the author also puts forward some suggestions from the perspectives of school and teachers,including organizing special training of(Interdisciplinary)writing such as mathematics writing,setting up school-based courses of interesting mathematics,and carrying out evaluation activities of mathematics composition.The suggestions for teachers include: combining teaching materials,designing mathematical composition writing exercises;providing model articles,guiding students to imitate writing;commenting regularly,exploring composition evaluation ways;considering learning situation,flexibly arranging composition ways;giving them fishing,making mathematical composition a habit.
