With the continuous development of economic level, people's demand for quality education is increasing.Because of the shortage of domestic high-quality educational resources and the increasingly current disadvantages of the teaching model, more and more high school students tend to abandon domestic higher education opportunities and choose to study abroad. For a time, the overseas education of high school students has been widely discussed in the field of education. However, there are few studies on the overseas entrance of high school students.Combined with the current educational hot spot and the current research status of overseas study, the author selects the influencing factors of high school students' choice of overseas study as the research topic. The core of this paper is to systematically analyze and explore the current status of high school students' overseas study behaviors and the factors that influence their decision. The author focuses on the influencing factors of Shanghai's high school students' choice of overseas study, and draws on the relevant views of planned behavior theory and push-pull factor theory. Then empirical research is carried out through the combination of questionnaire survey and interview. The purpose is to explore the main factors that affect the behavior of high school students to abandon the domestic college entrance examination to study abroad under the background of internationalization of higher education through the empirical research and the multi-dimensional comprehensive theoretical model.First, the relevant policies and literature on studying abroad were collected and sorted out,and the status of high school students studying abroad was understood.Second,by referring to the planned behavior theory, the influencing factors that influence the decision of high school students to study abroad were analyzed.Six variables were identified, namely, attitude towards study abroad behavior, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, academic performance, family resource endowment, perceived costs and benefits of study abroad.Combined with the push-pull factor theory, the push factors of domestic higher education and the pull factors of foreign higher education were studied.Combining the two theories, the systematic analysis of the influencing factors of Shanghai high school students' choice of overseas study was conducted.Through the investigation and analysis, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and perceived costs and benefits of studying abroad are proved to be the direct influencing factors of high school students' choice of studying abroad and also the maininfluencing factors. The attitude towards study abroad behavior, academic performance, and family resource endowment are proved to be indirect influencing factors, and have little effect on the decision-making for studying abroad.Third, some relevant suggestions were put forward on the four aspects of study abroad subjects, schools, relevant government departments, and study abroad intermediary service agencies.
