With the eighth basic education curriculum reform of China planned and launched,The decision on deepening Education Reform to promote All-round quality Education by CPC Central Committee and State Council was published,and it was clearly stated: “adjust and reform the curriculum system,structure and content,establish a new curriculum system,and try out national curriculum,local curriculum and school-based curriculum.With the establishment of the three-level curriculum management system,local curriculum,a new curriculum form,began to enter the vision of educator and teaching staff,it has also become one of the important contents of curriculum reform and an important way to enhance the adaptability of curriculum in the whole country.As an important humanities course,history plays an important role in the growth of students and the formation of ideas.Therefore,it is necessary to participate in the reform wave of local curriculum development and implementation,in particular,the rich and distinctive local historical facts and local customs have become the resources of history local curriculum.In the process of reform,many places in the country have made explorations and experiments in the local curriculum,many useful experiences have been gained and some valuable lessons learned.This study focuses on the history of WeiHai,a local curriculum for junior middle school students in WeiHai,which has undergone an orderly and systematic process of development and has become a formal product of the development of the local curriculum —— The history of WeiHai,and implemented it.First of all,it analyzes the reasons for the development of the local curriculum of The history of WeiHai and the basic stages of the development process.secondly,it starts with the teaching plan,teaching practice and teaching evaluation,this paper introduces in detail the implementation of the local curriculum of history in junior middle school.The teaching methods of this local course are flexible and varied,such as the practice of the history subject,the thematic teaching and the integration with the daily history lesson.And the students' learning styles have also changed,the students have more active and in-depth thinking and exploration of the study content,and pay attention to the cultivation of students' self-study ability,which lays a foundation for the future development.The student's academic evaluation includes the process evaluation andthe development evaluation,no longer the one-sided only result evaluation is an example.And finally,analyzes on the teaching effect and educational value of the local curriculum,and puts forward some improving directions and measures according to its shortcomings.It is hoped that this research can arouse students,teachers,schools and regional education administration departments to think rationally about the local curriculum,which is a new curriculum form,so as to be beneficial to the future development of local curriculum.
