With the development of social information and the arrival of big data era,data is closely related to people's life.Therefore,as one of the four fields of junior high school mathematics,"statistics and probability" has an important position.On the other hand,in recent years,Taiwanese students have performed well in the activities initiated by the International Education Research Organization,and their mathematical abilities have been outstanding.At the same time,taking into account the historical and cultural similarities between the mainland and Taiwan,as well as the similarities in the context of mathematical education culture,therefore,this article takes "statistics and probability" content and Taiwan Kang Xuan edition teaching material as the comparison object.The research object of this paper is "statistics and probability" of the Junior High School Mathematics Textbook of Shanghai Science Edition in the mainland and Kangxuan edition in Taiwan.The main research questions are as follows:(1)The differences and similarities between the two editions in the arrangement of Statistics and probability;(2)The differences between the two versions of the textbook in statistics and probability examples,the number,types,difficulty and the concept of data analysis;(3)How do the two editions organize and present the relevant knowledge points of Statistics and probability;(4)The difference of permeating mathematics culture between the two editions.This article uses the literature research method,the Content analysis,the comparison research method to carry on the research design.The findings are as follows:(1)in the content arrangement,the huke edition adopts the spiraling arrangement principle,and the Kangxuan edition follows the straight-line arrangement more;(2)in the exercise type,the huke edition exercises are more diverse,and there are open inquiry questions,the types of exercises in Kang Xuan's edition are relatively single,and the general exercises are the main ones.The cognitive and knowledge content of Hu Ke's edition is slightly higher than that of Kang Xuan's edition in terms of the comprehensive difficulty of exercises,and that of Kang Xuan's edition is higher than that of Hu Ke's edition in terms of background,operation and reasoning,there is no balance in the distribution of the five difficulties between the two editions.Starting from the definition of the concept of data analysis in the standard,this paper analyzes in detail the differences of the two textbooks' sample exercises from three aspects,which embody the concept of data analysis,the textbooks in Shanghai edition are better than those in Kangxuan Edition;(4)both textbooks in the two places pay attention to the infiltration of mathematical culture,and the textbooks in Shanghai edition are richer in content and form,but their distribution is not balanced enough,kang Xuan version of the teaching material with mathematics and real life situation culture as the main body.
