Mathematics Learning In Children's Picture Book Reading In Big Class

Reading is a method of children's mathematics learning,It is of great significance to understand the performance and characteristics of children's mathematics learning in picture book reading.This study observed and interviewed children in senior class and deeply analyzed children's mathematical learning behavior in picture book reading,the researcher observed a total of 88 reading activities and collected 214 mathematical learning behavior samples according to the operational definition,The study found that: children's mathematical learning characteristics in picture book reading were manifested in three aspects.In terms of mathematical knowledge and skills,reading can help children gain new experience and deeply understand mathematical concepts.Picture books can also be used as materials for mathematical exploration to help children consolidate their experience;In terms of mathematical thinking ability,picture books in the graphical representation and symbolic representation way to deliver mathematical thinking,improve their mathematical characterization,picture books often contains the mathematical language,children can dialogue in mathematics exchanges,its frame can inspire children's life experience,strengthen the connection between mathematics and life,promote problem solving;In terms of mathematical learning quality,the novel contents in picture books are easy to trigger children's continuous exploration,and good reading habits will support children to patiently complete mathematical tasks.Combined with the above characteristics,the researchers put forward several Suggestions to guide the reading of mathematical picture books for children in senior class: teachers should guide children to pay attention to mathematical concepts in reading;Use the relationship between pictures and words to help children understand mathematical knowledge;Improve the effectiveness of communication and avoid mechanical questioning;Provides the operation opportunity,enhances the reading pleasure.
