High school basketball teaching is a popular teaching activity,by students love,but girls basketball teaching is not good.First of all,in basketball class,girls compared to boys do not like the basketball court on the strenuous exercise.Because of the characteristics of girls,they are less competitive and confrontational than boys and will not participate in activities if they come to the holiday.Secondly,influenced by the traditional teaching concept for a long time,some teachers are more rigid in teaching design,only pay attention to the learning of skills,but ignore the interest and enthusiasm of students.Finally,due to high school teaching,students' learning pressure is relatively large,afraid of affecting the study of cultural classes,some teachers dare not let students participate in high-intensity sports activities.These factors all affect the teaching effect of high school girls' basketball class.The improvement of girls' physical quality and sports skills is not obvious,and their interest in sports learning is not active.Based on the previous research results,this paper adopts the literature research method,consults the relevant materials and documents,combs the teaching methods,combs and summarizes the present situation,characteristics and relevant theoretical basis of the competition teaching method.For the high school girls' interest in sports learning,this question USES the "middle school students' sports learning level scale" compiled by Wang Xiaozan for pre-and post-test.This paper attempts to use the "competition teaching method" to improve the above problems existing in the high school girls' basketball teaching.In this paper,female students in the basketball course of senior one in Xuancheng no.3 middle school were selected as the experimental subjects,and two classes were randomly selected(21 students in the control class and19 students in the experimental class).Two classes of girls physical fitness,basketball physical fitness,basketball basic skills and before and after the test.The data were processed and analyzed by SPSS.20.Conclusion:1.In the high school girls basketball teaching application competition teaching method is reliable.In terms of teaching effect,compared with the traditional teaching method,the competition teaching method is "unique ".2.The competition teaching method is more conducive to the cultivation of explosive power and jumping coordination ability,but it is not different from the traditional teaching method in improving the agility and speed quality.Traditionalteaching methods still play an important role in speed and agility.3.In terms of improving passing,catching and dribbling,the advantage of game teaching method is still very obvious.The game teaching method is a very good method to improve students' basic basketball skills.4.Competition teaching method is more conducive to cultivating students' interest in learning than traditional basketball teaching method.During the competition,students actively discussed with each other,used their brains and tried their best to win the final victory,which aroused students' interest in sports learning.
