Ye Shengtao's Chinese Literacy Concept And Its Influence And Enlightenment Research

Ye Shengtao devoted all his life to the job which were related to Chinese education.In the process of Chinese teaching practice and theoretical research.on the basis of the criticizing?reflecting and inheriting of traditional Chinese education,he clarified the blurred concept of Chinese in the Chinese educational circle and formed his profound and creative ideas of Chinese literacy.The article explores the content and route of·Ye Shengtao's ideas of Chinese literacy through the documentary research method,historical research method and comparative research method.Finally the article analyzes the influence and inspiration to the Chinese teaching at the moment,In the first chapter,in regard to the content,Ye Shengtao criticized the traditional Chinese education and pointed out its drawbacks of being away from life and fettering students'thought from three aspects in train objective?teaching contents and teaching methods.He was also inspired from the recitation teaching and heuristic teaching.Ye Shengtao held that the aim of education was to cultivate the students who would be able to deal with life and that Chinese was an important tool in life.So based on his understanding of education aim and curriculum nature,the core elements of Ye Shengtao's ideas of Chinese literacy are language,thinking.In the second chapter,in regard to the route,Ye Shengtao put forward that teachers teach students in order to make students live and study independently without teaching.He expounded and proved the rationality of his idea from the relationship among teachers?students and school.He made three suggestions,including close connection to life?develop habits and heuristic teaching and.In the third chapter,The article explores the influence of Ye Shengtao's ideas of Chinese literacy on the Theoretical construction of Chinese education and teaching,including the theory of language sense and the theory of situational education,which attach importance to life.We can get inspiration from Ye Shengtao's ideas of Chinese literacy.Firstly,life should be considered as foundation.Secondly,the key content is to develop students' habits.Thirdly the main approach is heuristic teaching.
