Action Research On Improving Children's Participation In Outdoor Sports Activities

Outdoor sports are of great significance to the physical and mental development of young children.This research adopted the paradigm of action research,selected 33 children in the middle class of Z kindergarten as the research object,and carried out the research with the research team by the research idea of "problem diagnosis-planning and implementation-adjustment and implementation-readjustment and implementation-summary and reflection".Based on action research,from the perspective of interns’ self-reflection,they focused on solving the problem of low participation of young children in outdoor sports activities,analyzed the factors that affect young children’s participation,and provide relevant suggestions for kindergarten managers,teachers,and parents to improve children’s activity participation.First of all,in the early stage of the research,through the diagnosis of the problem of young children’s participation in outdoor sports activities,and develop a preliminary implementation action plan.Based on the previous practice,according to the type of children’s basic athletic ability and the actual situation in the kindergarten,the goal of the action research plan was to improve children’s participation in four outdoor sports activities of walking,running,jumping,and throwing.Children’s participation types were classified and defined.Secondly,during the research process,according to the four different types of outdoor sports activities,an action study of a total of 12 activities in the three phases of initial implementation,re-implementation and in-depth implementation was carried out.Researchers revised and improved actions in the process of continuous planning,implementation adjustment and reflection,and promoted the improvement of children’s participation in activities.Thirdly,the study found that sufficient and reasonable participation time,safe and natural participation space and equal interaction are the basic conditions for the participation of young children in outdoor sports.The measures to ensure the increase in children’s participation in outdoor sports are interns’ roles.The correct positioningof the organization,the flexible and changeable organizational form,the proper use of teaching strategies,and the rational planning of the event venue are of reference value for interns and novice teachers in organizing outdoor sports activities.Finally,based on the practical reflection of action research,it is recommended that kindergartens provide professional support to promote in-depth communication with parents;teachers strengthen related learning and continuously improve their professional capabilities;parents change education concepts and establish correct physical cognition to improve children’s outdoor sports participation.
