As a window for the city to open up to the outside world,the hotel industry is of great significance to promote the development of local tourism and enhance the image of the city.As an important part of tourism education,the hotel management major of secondary vocational schools aims to train high-quality skilled talents who are suitable for the service of various functional positions in the hotel industry.However,more and more hotel management majors students are reluctant to stay in the hotel industry after graduation,resulting in a serious loss of talent in the hotel industry.The main reason for the brain drain is the lack of professional recognition,the subjective acceptance and recognition of the majors you have studied,and the lack of satisfaction and achievement in learning and work.The level of professional identity mot only affects students’ emotions and learning behaviors,but also affects the training direction and enrollment plan of hotel management majors in secondary vocational schools.On this basis,it is particularly urgent and important to improve students’ professional identity.This paper starts with a survey on the current situation of professional identification of students in the hotel management majors of secondary vocational schools.Through the literature research method,survey research method,content analysis method and grounded theory method,we conducted questionnaire surveys and interviews with hotel management students of three secondary vocational schools in Guiyang City and interviewed the managers of some enterprises.This paper analyzes the overall level of student professional identity,and discusses the status of professional identity of hotel management students from different dimensions and different variables.The overall average score of students’ professional identity is 3.453,which is in the upper middle level.The average score of the six dimensions of professional identity is higher than the critical value of 3.The order of the degree of identity is professional training,professional cognition,professional learning,professional emotions,professional willingness and professional fit.Variables such as gender,whether to be a class leader,school,grade,and different voluntary choice all have significant differences in professional identity.Through interviews,we deeply explored the problems and causes of professional identity of hotel management students,and found that Secondary vocational school students have lack of professional knowledge,inaccurate self-cognition and positioning,professional emotions instability,lack of the initiative study consciousness,imperfect professional training,and employment problems such as unstable will,analyze the reasons for their professional identity,and put forward corresponding countermeasures to enhance professional identity,to provide guarantee for the stable talents in the hotel industry. |
