In SNA system,the value of the owner occpuied housing services should be include in the GDP calculation,and there are market rent and imputed rent two part in the value.There are various ways to get the imputed rent.With the rapid development of China's economy and the advancement of urbanization process,our economic situation and national conditions have changed,and many scholars have put forward the official method of estimating the imputed rent had been out of data and differing from the rent market approach,it can not be used for international comparison.In recent years,with the countries all over the world began the reform of the national economic accounting system and pursued the SNA2008,China's national bureau of statistics has deployed the task of accouting reform and updating the approach to estimate the urban imputed rent became a vital goal.Clinging to the hot point,this paper used Poterba equilibrium equation and estimated 2000-2014 urban imputed rent.Then,using the result CFPS2010-2012,this paper checked the accuracy of result from previous step and the comparison between the official cost approach and new calculations shows that China's imputed rent had been seriously underestimated.More importantly,it had a great influence on the added value of real estate industry and residents' consumption.
