The Studies Of Overseas Think Tanks On China From Theoretical Prospective

Think tank plays an increasingly important role in the national political life,including guiding public opinion and influencing government decision-making by researching domestic and international affairs.With the development of China,overseas think tanks represented by the United States have conducted in-depth and comprehensive research on China,which not only affects overseas people's perception of China,but also affects the formulation of high-level policies toward overseas countries.This study takes the theory of think tank as a perspective to explore how overseas think tank Chinese research influences government decision-making.These theories include elitism,group theory and country theory in the macropolitical dimension,phase theory and multifarious theory in the dimension of the medium-term policy process,knowledge application theory and expert participation theory in the microcosmic dimension,other aspects of the social network theory and social capital theory.We can found that overseas think tanks are mostly based on national interest,and mainly policy-oriented research.Also the study is continnuous in China issues and policies.There are different groups due to the different policy proposal,and their influence on government decisions is constantly changing.Specifically,the American think tanks exert their explicit influence on U.S.government policies in China by identifying research topics,publishing research findings to influence public opinion,and strengthening government contacts to achieve policy influence.Also the think tank'sexperts directly making policy by the revolving door mechanism and evaluate the policy by reflecting on the misjudgment of China.Obviously,The American think tank's China study has played an important role in the development of Sino-US relationship.So we need to pay more attention to the research of overseas think tanks on China,and strengthen exchanges and cooperation with overseas think tanks.Last and least,we must provide China's perspectives and master the right to speak overseas in China,so as to create harmony for the further development of our country.The international environment.At the same time,we must be good at using "stones from other hills" to effectively solve the problems faced by our country's development and continuously strengthen the construction of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics.
