This paper is about Chinese tourists' satisfaction with Chiang Mai tourism in Thailand.Since 2006,the number of travelers coming from China to Thailand has increased rapidly.Thailand is rich in the religious culture,natural environment and pleasant climate."The Rose of the North," which is located in Chiang Mai,the Northern part of Thailand,is one of Thailand's most famous summer resorts and destinations.Chiang Mai has the oldest Buddhist temple located on the bank of the Mei Ping River.The number of Chinese tourists traveling to Chiang Mai has in recent years increased significantly.Their strong level of consumption and purchasing power has greatly enhanced the economic benefits of Chiang Mai's tourism industry.Understanding Chinese tourists' spending and satisfaction with tourism in Chiang Mai will play an important role in the development of tourism in Chiang Mai.In order to understand the relevant information,the writer conducted a survey and interviews with Chinese tourists traveling in Chiang Mai.As a result of doing this,the writer was able to conduct an in-depth analysis in regards to the trends and satisfaction of Chinese tourists in Chiang Mai.Lastly,in order to avoid the weakening of Chiang Mai Tourism Industry,the writer will provide some suggestions to improve the tourism industry in Chiang Mai,formulate effective marketing strategies,increase interaction with other major travel agencies,and enhance overall integrated services in Chiang Mai.Based on a relevant marketing theory,we can analyzes and summarizes the consumer behavior data obtained from the questionnaire.Finally,the writer can give several important suggestions on marketing strategies and the future development of tourism companies.According to the author's analysis on SPSS software,five Suggestions are put forward for further development of tourism product marketing strategy in Thailand.Firstly,tourism companies should introduce low-cost travel plans for different spending levels of tourists to develop travel plans that will allow tourists to apply to travel agencies without spending a lot of money for the Chiang Mai journey;Secondly,tourism companies should strive to further develop the male market and step up their survey of tourists' preferences for Chinese male tourists in order to understand why the number of male tourists traveling to Chiang Mai is less than the number of female tourists and discuss about the development of tourism projects and tourist routes that are suitable for young people;Thirdly,tourism company should encourage and reward Thai local staff for their good performance,and also provide training for them to learn more about Chinese language and culture,so that they might have more knowledge on how to interact better and provide better services for Chinese tourists in Chiang Mai;Fourthly,tourism companies should actively develop tourist routes around Chiang Mai and connect with other surrounding besides Chiang Mai Tourist Company,including Chiang Rai,Chiang Dao and Pai;Fifthly,tourism companies should work with the government to earn trust in Chiang Mai's Tourism Industry development in order to build good images and for the tourists' own benefitsBased on the survey results,it can be analyzed that gender,age,educational background,occupation,marital status,and income groups have different opinions about the tours prices and service satisfactions,in order to satisfy the different type of demand of the entire market.In order to set reasonable prices,provide reasonable services,products and so on companies should act according to the demand and other relevant factors.At last,companies can significantly attract greater number of Chinese tourists to Chiang Mai and hopefully can bring a great benefit to tourism companies.
