Employee creativity is the micro foundation of enterprise innovation management.It is the result of multiple layers of interactions between individuals in terms of cognition,emotion,and behavior.Literature studies have found that working values,as a typical cognitive style at the individual level,can provide impetus or impediment to their creativity.However,the existing research rarely discusses the working mechanism of work values on employee creativity,and in particular,it lacks the boundary analysis of the path of its materialization.How to improve employee's work values,change employees' cognition style,enhance self-efficacy,and then improve the level of employee's creativity have become a hot issue in current corporate management practice and academic theory innovation.Therefore,this study has important theoretical and practical significance.This article takes the new generation of employees as the research object,and establishes a mature rating scale of the relevant variables with the work value as the independent variable,self-efficacy as the intermediary variable and employee creativity as the dependent variable.After designing the questionnaire survey,it is issued and received.A total of 214 valid questionnaires from three regions in Jinan,Qingdao,and Shanghai provided a total of 14 research hypotheses.This study uses the reliability test,validity test,descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis,and hierarchical regression analysis to perform data analysis on the questionnaire data to verify the theoretical research hypothesis.The findings are as follows:(1)Work values are the key factors affecting employee creativity.The work values of the new generation of employees and their five dimensions(utilitarian orientation,inner preference,interpersonal harmony,innovation orientation,long-term development)have a significant positive impact on employee creativity.(2)From the perspective of the five dimensions of work values,the influence of innovation orientation on employee creativity is greater than that of the other four values.This explains to a certain extent the development status of the new generation of employees' creativity in the context of China.(3)The sense of self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on the creativity of employees,and it plays a part in mediating the role of work values on the creativity of employees.The conclusion of this study not only provides a reference for new generation employees to enhance their creativity,but also has important reference value for otheremployees in the company to enhance their creativity.
