In the "new normal" period of China's economy,which is changing from high speed to medium high speed growth,how to maintain the stability,sustained and healthy development of China's economy has become an important issue of concern for the Chinese government and many Chinese economic scholars.In the current fierce international competition,in the final analysis,it is the contest of comprehensive national strength,that is to say,the competition of scientific and technological strength,and the technology intensive industry is the focus of the whole competition.Improving the Total Factor Productivity of technology intensive industries as an important measure to improve the quality of economic growth,become an main measure to develop the economy in the “new normal” period.The theory of industrial agglomeration shows that the improvement of industrial agglomeration level can promote the improvement of Total Factor Productivity through various channels.Industrial agglomeration is conducive to improving the production efficiency of enterprises and exerting the scale effect.Therefore,this paper attempts to explore the effects of technology-intensive industrial agglomeration on Total Factor Productivity and its specific channels of action in the context of the "new normal".In this paper,the data of technology intensive industries in different provinces of China from 2005 to 2015 are used.Firstly,the location entropy and the DEA-Malmquist index are used to measure the concentration of technology intensive industries and Total Factor Productivity and its decomposition indexes.Then selecting the appropriate control variables to construct the econometric model,and using the SYS-GMM method to estimate the influence that the industrial clusters of skill-intensive impose on TFP growth by linear regression;and the nonlinear equations are further evaluated so that the robustness and reliability of the estimation results are verified.In addition,the dynamic POLS,dynamic FE,static FE and static RE methods are adopted,the relationship between the industrial clusters of skill-intensive and TFP is studied from differentangles.Finally,the SYS-GMM method is used to analyze the effection channel of technology intensive industry agglomeration on Total Factor Productivity.In this paper,the two important conclusions obtained are: First,technology intensive industry agglomeration promotes the growth of Total Factor Productivity;Second,technology intensive industrial agglomeration has a great influence on scale efficiency and pure technology efficiency.Technology-intensive industrial agglomeration has a major impact on the growth of Total Factor Productivity through improving the pure technology efficiency and scale efficiency,and then improve the efficiency of comprehensive technology to increase productivity.
