With the continuous development and improvement of information science and technology,the storm of science and technology represented by mobile Internet technology has swept the world.The impact of telecom operators as basic telecom network service providers is the most important.In the Internet era,the telecom operators,once in the absolute dominance of the entire industry chain,face severe challenges in their industrial value,the telecom market competition has also undergone fundamental changes.The impact of Internet development on the traditional telecom business model,the abundant changes of users' needs in telecom market,the accelerating speed of network convergence,and the further increase of market competition by virtual telecom operators are all driving the traditional telecom operators to speed up their strategic transformation in the Internet era.This is not only the inevitable trend of conforming to the times but also the requirement of realizing the sustainable development of the enterprise.The strategic transformation of telecom operators in our country is neither a slogan of staying in the management nor a mere product improvement but a comprehensive and systematic strategic work adapted to the telecom industry environment in China.Our telecom operators' strategic transformation should focus on thinking from two aspects,on the one hand is the adjustment and transformation of operational mode,that is,from traditional telecom network service providers to integrated information and communication service providers change.On the other hand,it is the restructuring and transformation of the competition mode,that is,competition from a single field of telecommunications services to competition in more areas such as Internet information.China's telecom operators should insist on innovation as the key point in the process of corporate strategic transformation and adhere to the systematic and continuous innovation work in aspects of organizational structure,products and business,customer service system,operation and maintenance system,And to achieve risk control in the process of strategic transformation by setting up correct risk awareness and establishing an effective risk management mechanism.Based on the related theories of strategic management and strategic transformation of enterprises,combined with the background of telecom operators in the Internet era,this paper analyzes the motivation of strategic transformation of telecom operators in depth and discusses the necessity of the strategic transformation of telecom operators in the Internet era.Then,taking Beijing Unicom's Internet-based strategic transformation as a case study,from the dimensions of its organizational structure transformation,product business transformation,customer service transformation,and operation and maintenance system transformation.Finally,according to the actual situation of China's telecom industry,summarized telecom operators' strategic transformation path in the Internet era.
