Compare Large Grain-growers And Family Farms Economic Benefits And Analyze Reasons

Grain-scale operation plays a significant role in improving the competitiveness of grain and ensuring the security of national grain.Large grain-growers and family farms are important organizational forms of grain-scale production.The differences in economic benefits between the two have not been fully studied.Based on the questionnaires from 61 large grain-growers and 82 registered family farms in Anhui Province,this paper used the methods of comparative analysis and statistic analysis to analyze the differences in economic benefits between large grain-growers and family farms.The results show that the economic benefits of family farms are better than the large grain-growers.The reasons that lead to the differences in economic benefits are further studied from the aspects of managing behaviors,resource endowments and social services.The results show that: in terms of managing behavior,family farms are superior to large grain-growers in average managing area,planting structure and the degree of infrastructure improvement.in terms of resource endowment,family farms have advantages in quantity of labor force,proportion of highly educated personnel,and family social spending.However,family farms have disadvantages of years of education,grain production qualifications,scale of management qualifications,social source endowments,organizational dimension,trust dimension and collective dimension;In terms of social services,family farms have more loans and more agricultural insurance purchases.Besides,their sales channels are more inclined to individual traders and businesses.Controlling disaster-affected rate and disaster-suffering rate,the effective measures of post-disaster of recovery are also the reasons why family farms are more outstanding than large grain-growers.However,family farms are not as good as large grain-growers in terms of subsidy income,frequency of training related to agricultural skills,the controlling of the crop killing rate and the adoption of its post-disaster remedial measures.On the basis of analysis,the article puts forward relevant recommendations from the aspects of arable land circulation,subject cultivation,farmland infrastructure investment,financial support,and social service system construction.The specific structure of the article is as follows: Chapter 1,Introduction;Chapter 2,related concepts and theoretical foundations;Chapters 3 to 6,Comparing and analyzing the proceeds,managing behaviors,resource endowments and social services of family farms and large grain-growers respectively;Chapter 7,conclusion and recommendations.
