Study On Urban Integration Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers Based On Employability

Under the background of accelerating the process of industrialization and urbanization,more and more rural labor forces are flooding into cities,seeking opportunities for survival and development,and forming large-scale groups of migrant workers.At present,the new generation of migrant workers has become the main body of migrant workers in China.They have a strong desire for urban integration because of their unique growth background and needs,however,there are not yet conditions and capabilities to fully accept and absorb them in cities in current China.So there still exist obstacles for the new generation of migrant workers to integrate into the city and realize the transformation of citizenship.Employability is the basis for the survival and development of the new generation of migrant workers in cities,and it is related to the occupation obtainment,social status,family well-being and citizenship of this group.Therefore,this paper studies the integration of the new generation of migrant workers from the perspective of employability.This article takes the new generation of migrant workers in Guiyang City as an example,taking 611 new generation of migrant workers as a sample.First of all,this paper measures the employability of new generation of migrant workers from four dimensions of human capital,social capital,individual adaptability and occupation identity,and then focus on the employability of the new generation of migrant workers and their willingness to integrate into cities,especially concentrating on the impact of the new generation of migrant workers' employability on urban integration.Finally,suggestions are made to improve the urban integration of the group from the perspective of employability.The conclusions of the study are as follows: The employability of the new generation of migrant workers is generally low.Although most of the new generation of migrant workers have feelings for Guiyang City and are willing to settle in Guiyang City,their urban integration level is still low.At the 5% level of significance,the human capital variables,social capital variables,personal adaptability and occupational identification variables of the new generation of migrant workers have a significant impact on their urban integration.The cultural level,physical condition,post level,working hours,and number of trainings in human capital have a significant impact on the integration of new generations of migrant workers.The number of relatives and friends,monthly household income per capita,employer assistance and favorable employment policy in social capital significantly affect their urban integration.The self-development ability in personal adaptability has significant influence on the integration of new generation of migrant workers;and the recognition of working culture and sense of market in professional identity have a significant effect on the integration of new generation of rural migrant workers.The development of the employability of the new generation of migrant workers will promote the economic status of the new generation of migrant workers and realize the upward mobility of their profession.Analyzing the influence of employability on the urban integration of new generation of migrant workers has enriched the research content of new generation of migrant workers as well as broadened the ideas for urbanization construction,thus providing certain reference for the formulation of various social management policies,benefiting the construction of urbanization and promoting the coordinated development of urban and rural economies in Guiyang city.
