New-type Urbanization,Interprovincial Technology Gap And Regional Innovation Capability

After the international financial crisis,developed countries turn to “reindustrialization”,focus on original innovations and high-end innovations,and impose technology blockade and monopoly on Chinese enterprises in key points.At the same time,the supply-side structural reform and the innovation-driven strategy are vigorously pursued in China,and the construction of new-type urbanization has become an important measure to promote economic transformation.In such a situation,technical spillover effects from developed countries become weaker and weaker.It is of great practical significance and theoretical significance to make good use of the interprovincial technology gap and the construction of new-type urbanization to achieve the improvement of regional innovation capability.Based on sufficient literature research,the paper defines the connotation of newtype urbanization and interprovincial technology gap,and expounds the influence mechanism of new-type urbanization and interprovincial technology gap on the improvement of regional innovation capability.Then the paper analyzes the present situation of new-type urbanization,interprovincial technology gap and regional innovation in China,and the results show that in general the development of newtype urbanization in China is rapid,but the quality of development needs to be improved as a result of “more expansion and less connotation”.In terms of both interprovincial technology gap and regional innovation,it presents a state in which the advantage is concentrated in the eastern region.Based on that,the empirical analysis of the fixed effect panel model of new-type urbanization,interprovincial technology gap and regional innovation is carried out with the interprovincial panel data from 2009 to 2015.The results show that on the one hand the new-type urbanization,as a whole,can significantly improve innovation ability,but there are regional differences—— the promotion effect is stronger in the western region.0n the other hand interprovincial technology gap can significantly promote innovation ability only in the eastern and central provinces,but not in the western provinces,and the reason is that the technology gap in the western provinces is so big that the direct incentive effect can not work.Finally,based on the empirical results,some suggestions are put forward from the perspective of new-type urbanization,interprovincial technology gap and regional technology development strategy.
