Research On The Relationship Among Cognitive Adaptability,entrepreneurial Adjustment Action And Entrepreneurial Performance

With the advent of the digital era,advances in technology,explosive growth of information,and constant changes in customer demand,the market environment in which new ventures are located is also more uncertain.In a complex and dynamic entrepreneurial environment,entrepreneurs need to adjust entrepreneurial decisions based on cognitive and environmental feedback,and grasp entrepreneurial opportunities through quick and frequent entrepreneurial adjustment actions to improve entrepreneurial performance.With the rise of the entrepreneurial cognitive school,entrepreneurial scholars began to explore the underlying factors affecting entrepreneurial behavior and entrepreneurial performance from a cognitive perspective.In this context,the theory of cognitive adaptability emerged.This theory provides a good starting point to explain how entrepreneurs lacking relevant experience can adapt their adjustment through environmental feedback and then influence entrepreneurial performance.First,this study reviews domestic and foreign research.Based on entrepreneurial cognition and action theories,it integrates relevant theories such as cognitive adaptability and entrepreneurial adjustment actions,constructs a conceptual model of �cognitive adaptability-entrepreneurial adjustment actions-entrepreneurial performance�,suggests that cognitive adaptability contributes to entrepreneurial performance,and that entrepreneurial adjustment actions play an mediating role in this process.Then,this study selects entrepreneurs and new companies they created as research objects,223 sample data are collected through questionnaire survey,and empirically tests the hypotheses through the structural equation model.The significant positive effect of cognitive adaptation on entrepreneurial performance,the significant positive effect of cognitive adaptation on the frequency and pace of entrepreneurial adjustment actions,and the significant mediating effect of the frequency and pace of entrepreneurial adjustment actions were verified.These explain the intrinsic mechanism of cognitive adaptation on entrepreneurial performance.Finally,combining the results of empirical research and related discussions,with the framework of �cognition-action-performance�,this paper proposes practical suggestions,for example,entrepreneurs need to use the value of cognitive adaptation,use entrepreneurial adjustment actions to achieve the effects of cognitive adaptation,and so on.These recommendations can provide useful references for entrepreneurs in an uncertain environment.
