| With the development of economy,the proportion of service industry in China's economy has also increased year by year.The trend of “tertiarization” in China has gradually become apparent.The issues concerning the service industry have attracted more and more attention and interest.Although the service industry has become a new driving force for economic development,there are many problems in itself.Therefore,this paper focuses on the technical efficiency levels,agglomeration degree,and the correlation between the two in the service industry in various provinces and regions in China.This study is also expected to provide some useful references for China's economic development in the new period.By measuring the index of agglomeration levels of the service industry of each province and municipality in China,it is found that there still have differences between the industrial agglomeration levels in each region.This paper uses the stochastic frontier analysis method to analyze the main influencing factors and its effects of technical efficiency by using the panel date on China's provinces and province-level municipalities during 2005-2014.The results of the technical efficiency of the service industry show that there is a obvious gap in the service industry efficiency in the eastern,central and western regions of China.The technical efficiency of service industries in all provinces and province-level municipalities are generally in a downward trend.The main result shows that industrial agglomeration is an important factor which influences the service sector's degree of technical efficiency,the common agglomeration of service industry and industry will also play a role.in addition,government behavior which influence the economy,and urbanization ratio can also influence the technical efficiency.At last,this paper explains the shortcomings of the study,looks forward to future research and gives some policy suggestions. |
