Political Economy Analysis Of Shared Bicycles

The great-leap-forward development of productivity in the times of information economy has endowed the bicycle sharing capital as a special merchant capital with a fresh circulative form.Being different from the traditional commercial capital in value realization,it has added the sharing process into its circulative form and created a new value realization process(G—W—S—G?).The sharing process has realized the sharing use value and the uttermost non-directional and dynamic separation between the ownership and use right of the shared bicycle,achieving a transition from the private goods to quasi-public goods,a maximized utilization of bicycle resources and a win-win situation between enterprises and consumers.Meanwhile,in the sharing process,challenges,such as unauthorized possession,negative externality and information asymmetry,has called for theoretical analysis and targeted measures.The thesis is divided into four chapters and the first chapter is an introduction to the background,related research,major framework and innovations.The second chapter has combed the three development stages of shared bikes and its representative cities or enterprises.Being an indispensable component,the third chapter has concentrated on the value realization,the uttermost non-directional and dynamic separation between the ownership and use right and the quasi-public characteristic of bicycle commodity.Further,challenges,such as unauthorized possession,negative externality and information asymmetry,has been concerned in this chapter.The forth chapter explores the way to an efficient and sustainable shared bikes.The smooth sharing process should never be separated from the participation of enterprises,government and public.More specifically,the enterprises should innovate in its management and profit model,the government should play the role of guidance and supervision and the public should regulate themselves and actively participate in the management of sharing bicycle.
