In 1992,China and Russia began to trade timber.In 1996,China and Russia established a strategic cooperative partnership.Russia's export of timber products to China has continued to develop.Russia has become China's largest exporter of timber trade.Russia and China are getting closer and closer to each other in timber trade.Both China and Russia have made adjustments to timber trade policies.China and Russia have made the most important adjustments to their timber trade policies:Russia has raised tariffs on timber exports;In order to stimulate timber imports,China has abolished import log duties and began to impose tariffs and import link value-added tax on small border trade Halve the preferential measures.This paper is divided into five parts.Firstly,this paper introduces the background and research significance of Russian timber export trade to China,and introduces the methods and main contents of this study.The second part describes the classification and characteristics of timber trade.And introduce the theory of international trade;The third part mainly introduces the current situation of Russian-Chinese timber trade,including the structure of timber trade and the total amount of timber trade.The fourth part introduces the main problems existing in Russian timber export to China,and the fifth part puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote Russian timber export to China,including border problem,timber product structure problem,transportation problem,and the two countries' non-trade.The problem of cutting by law.
