| Nowadays the market competition is no longer the competition between individual enterprise but the competition between the resource of supply chain.Supplier-as the key player in supplier chain plays the key role in this competition.Enterprise normally manages plenty of suppliers.How to manage their efficiency,how to build up a competitive mode in supplier pool from the supplier evaluation,sort and select supplier to find out the most valuable supplier and create a long term business relationship is becoming more and more important for enterprise.This paper is focusing on supplier evaluation and management exploration.Study B company,as a manufacture company in China which is engaged in a background of the labor and material cost increase and the down-tum economic trend worldwide,how to create an appropriate supplier evaluation system,enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of supplier management in order to keep B company’s competitive strength in the market.By analysis the supplier management status in B company and the problems which been detected,then look for the solution from supplier categorization and supplier evaluation,use Kraljic model,AHP method and supplier management through the process The research demonstrates that the appropriate supplier categorization can improve the supplier relationship and effective the supplier management then benefit on company’s margin,the competitive environment base on the proper supplier evaluation can reduce the supplier management risk meanwhile contribute on supplier continue improvement ability.The comprehensive ability of supplier can benefit the entire supply chain and reduce the overall cost of enterprise.This paper will offer a good example for similar enterprise to improve on supplier management efficiency and effectiveness. |
