Effect Evaluation Of Grain Subsidy Policy From The Perspective Of Farmers

Since ancient times,food has been one of the most concerned about topics of the government,and has been the material basis on which people live.The prosperity of a country is based on the premise of ensuring and satisfying the most basic food needs of its people,for only in this way can a series of economic activities be carried out successfully.Food security is a top priority for national safety and social stability.In order to ensure and strengthen national food security,the government has adopted a food subsidy policy.Through the study of the implementation of the direct subsidy policy in Sheqi County,this paper further discusses to what extent the grain subsidy policy can affect the farmers' enthusiasm in growing crops and their satisfaction with the grain subsidy policy,so as to explore how to adjust and consummate the grain subsidy system to make sure that food subsidies can achieve long-term development.By doing so,food security and stability can also be further ensured.To promote the farmers' satisfaction with the food subsidy policy,common practices are adjusting ways of granting subsidies,lifting the standard of subsidy amount,implementing the subsidy policy,improving the government's attitude,and so on.Only when the grain subsidy policy comes into effect and achieves its purpose can the production of grain in China be promoted and the stability of China's food security be maintained.From the research we can see that though relatively weak among various industries,the grain industry is basic in ensuring state stability.Therefore,the government should first adjust the purchase price on the grain market,take the macro-control approach to drive up food prices appropriately and,when the price of means of production rises,make efforts to adjust and protect the purchase price on the market.Second,since grain subsidies may affect the scale of grain cultivation,we should adjust their standards according to the size of cultivation,rather than adopt universal ones,in order to effectively play the role of food subsidies,improve the farmers' enthusiasm for food cultivation,promote the increase in the scale of cultivating,and thus to enhance food production.
