Research On The Influencing Factors Of New Generation Migrant Workers Participating In Endowment Insurance

According to relevant data from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security,The participation rate of migrant workers' pension insurance is only 21.1%.In order to explore the influencing factors of this group's participation in pension insurance,this paper uses self-made questionnaires to investigate and interview more than 200 new generation migrant workers in Lanzhou City,Gansu Province,to understand their participation and influencing factors of pension insurance.Firstly,based on the previous literature,this paper has compiled questionnaires and interview outlines,and proposed basic research hypotheses on personal information,family situation,employment situation,cognitive situation and policy system that may affect the new generation of migrant workers.And then carry out empirical tests and logistic regression analysis.The survey found that the factors influencing the new generation of migrant workers to participate in the insurance are diversified,according to the degree of influence from strong to weak,respectively:(1)Whether the employer provides endowment insurance for the new generation of migrant workers;(2)the nature of the work unit;(3)whether the new generation of migrant workers have employment security;(4)the educational level of the new generation of migrant workers;The degree of trust of migrant workers in the old-age insurance;(6)the actual affordability of the new generation of migrant workers to the premium;(7)whether the family members approve of their participation in the endowment insurance;(8)the satisfaction of the new generation of migrant workers with the policy;(9)The level of understanding of the policies of the new generation of migrant workers;(10)The monthly income level of the new generation of migrant workers.The survey also found that the phenomenon of irregular employment in enterprises is widespread;China lacks the pension insurance system for the new generation of migrant workers.It is hoped that through the improvement of the social security system,the pension insurance policy for migrant workers will be formulated;Increase the propaganda of the endowment insurance policy,and improve the understanding and satisfaction of the new generation of migrant workers on the policy;Standardize the employment of enterprises;Improving the professional level of the new generation of migrant workers and increasing their added value of the population will improve the status of the low participation rate.
