Whether the agricultural extension system is sound or not,the agricultural technology extension efficiency depends on the whole quality of the agricultural technical extension team,the enthusiasm and the professional degree of the agricultural technical extension personnel to carry on the extension work.At the present stage,the popularization of agricultural technology at the grass-roots level in the country is slow and difficult,and people are the most important and the most dynamic main body in the productive forces.Therefore,on the premise of relative stability of other conditions,it is an effective way to solve the problem of low efficiency and low development speed of agricultural technology extension in our country,how to scientifically evaluate the work performance of agricultural extension workers at the grass-roots level,and how to improve their enthusiasm and vitality.Datong City is one of the largest coal energy bases in China Firstly,the basic role of agricultural development in national production is not optimistic Agricultural technology popularization at grassroots level is also facing an unsatisfactory situation with most cities in China.Therefore,the performance evaluation system of agricultural technology popularizers at grassroots level in Datong should be established and put forward through the different weights of each index of the evaluation system.The incentive mechanism of high-grass-roots agricultural extension personnel's enthusiasm has certain theoretical and practical significance for perfecting the agricultural socialization service system and developing agricultural modernization in DatongStarting from the present situation of performance appraisal of agricultural extension workers in Datong City,this paper expounds in detail three aspects:personnel composition,performance appraisal and incentive mechanism.On this basis,this paper deeply analyzes the problems existing in the performance appraisal and incentive mechanism of grass-roots agricultural extension workers in Datong city,and takes this as the basis to extract and evaluate the indicators.The performance evaluation index system of agricultural extension workers at the grass-roots level in the new period has been constructed,which can be used for reference to stimulate the enthusiasm of agricultural extension workers at the grass-roots level in Datong city and to improve the effect of agricultural technology extension.
