With the acceleration of economic globalization,transnational operation has become a common phenomenon in the world economy.The business expansion of foreign-funded enterprises is very rapid,making cross-cultural communication management one of the most important issues in foreign-funded enterprise management in the world.Effective crosscultural communication management will be of great help to multinational companies to resolve problems having their root in cultural differences.Well knowing host countries' culture and admitting the existence of cultural differences,will lead multinational enterprises to develop appreciable cross-cultural management methods,improve not only the communication but also their power of cohesion and competition.Based on the above background,this paper expounds the challenges faced by multinational corporations in cross-cultural communication management,and takes Company B as an example to analyze some cases of differences between Chinese and foreign senior managers in cross-cultural communication,as well as the problems of communication they face in their daily work,adopting the method of case analysis,and deeply analyzing and studying the cultural differences,the lack of common values and inefficient communication embodied in the cross-cultural management system at the managerial side of the company.After exploration of the root causes to the cross-cultural communication management impediments at the managerial side,and based on the reasonable theories,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from different aspects: first at all,the understanding and respect of cultural differences and make big efforts to establish common and understandably corporate values;secondly,multinational corporations should investigate and have very clear ideas and knowledge on the host country's culture and behavior guideline,so that those company be able,through its multicultural status,be able to build on suitable cross-cultural managers and workers team.And thirdly,having for main objective the improvement of the communication process,and strive to keep a constant improvement and to perfect that cross-cultural communication management during the time,not only at the managerial side by to all the enterprises.The impediments related to the cross-cultural communication of management staff of Company B represented in this paper are general to multinational corporations' development nowadays.This case analysis of the causes of cross-cultural communication management problems of managers in Company B is not only called to provide analysis ideas for the future cross-cultural communication management for managers of Company B,but also to provide important reference and guideline for other transnational corporations coming in China to deal with cross-cultural conflicts that include highly communication and vertical or horizontal level of companies.
