Foreign Direct Investment Impact On Development Of Low Carbon Economy In The Three Northeastern Provinces Of China

Since the reform and opening up,with the increasing speed of the introduction and utilization of foreign direct investment(FDI)in the three northeastern provinces,the economic development of the three northeastern provinces has made great progress,but at the same time,the increase of FDI has brought environmental problems such as carbon emissions to the region.The negative impact has made the economic development environment problem more and more serious.Therefore,it is necessary to study the impact of foreign direct investment on the development of low-carbon economy.The research in this paper mainly includes two aspects.The first is to use the data from 1997 to 2017 to analyze the status quo of foreign direct investment and low carbon economy development;the second is to use the provincial data from 1997 to2017 to construct a regression model to analyze foreign direct investment,per capita GDP,The impact of R&D expenses,the proportion of secondary industry,and total energy consumption on total carbon emissions,and an in-depth analysis of the impact of FDI on low-carbon economy in various industries and regions.The research results show that the actual use of foreign direct investment in the three northeastern provinces has a positive impact on the total carbon emissions,and the change in the foreign direct investment of the secondary industry is the main reason for the increase in carbon emissions in the three northeastern provinces,and foreign investors in Jilin Province and Heilongjiang Province.Direct investment has the greatest impact on carbon emissions.According to the analysis results,it proposes countermeasures to make rational use of FDI and promote the development of low-carbon economy,namely,actively upgrade the strategy of attracting foreign investment,strengthen the introduction of low-carbon green foreign investment,accelerate the optimization of industrial structure,enhance the ability of technology research and development,and raise the threshold of environmental control,making it low.The development goals of the carbon economy and the sustainable development of the economy have been achieved.This paper uses the data of the three northeastern provinces to analyze the impactof foreign direct investment on the low-carbon economy.It does not involve the impact of specific foreign direct investment in each prefecture-level city on the development of low-carbon economy.Secondly,the selected model is derived from foreign direct investment.There is a positive impact on carbon emissions and there is no in-depth analysis of the interaction of this impact.These shortcomings require further research and improvement in the future.
