Since the reform and opening up,China has seized the opportunity of world economic development and actively implemented the policy of “going out and introducing”.China relies on low labor costs to participate in the global value chain division,thus making the manufacturing industry develop rapidly.It has won the title of “World Factory”,but this way of participating in the value chain division is a simple assembly and assembly process,with low added value,and it is easy to fall into the dilemma of “low-end locking” in the value chain division of labor.And with the disappearance of China’s “demographic dividend”,labor costs have risen sharply,and many multinational companies have chosen to shift the low-end link of the value chain to areas with abundant labor resources.At the same time,countries are also undergoing transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry,from "industrial economy" to "service economy".China’s manufacturing industry seems to have been in trouble.How to achieve transformation and upgrading,how to climb to the high end of the value chain,we will need Focus on issues.From the perspective of manufacturing service,this paper uses the world input-output data to calculate the value chain status,value chain participation,domestic value-added and total export value,and then explores the manufacturing industry with sample data from 42 countries.The impact of service on the rise of the value chain.Empirical studies show that the greater the proportion of domestic service investment added value to the total output of manufacturing industry,the higher the value chain division of value chain;and the greater the proportion of foreign service investment added value to total manufacturing output,the value chain of manufacturing industry The lower the division of labor status,and the impact of the increase in total service input on the total output of the manufacturing industry,the impact is not significant,because it is not known that the positive impact of the increase in the value of domestic service inputs and the increase in foreign service inputs.The negative impact of the value ratio is large and small.Then,from the perspective of industry heterogeneity,the manufacturing industry is divided into three types: labor-intensive,capital-intensive,and technology-intensive.At the same time,service industry investment is divided into distribution service,transportation service,telecommunications service,and finance.Serviceization,considering the impact of the added value of each segment of service type on the upgrade of the manufacturing value chain.Empirical research shows that for labor-intensive industries,the proportion of added value of telecom service investment and the value added of distribution service input have a significant impact on the value chain;for capital-intensive,distribution service,transportation service and finance Serviceization has a significant impact on the value chain;for technology-intensive manufacturing,distribution service and financial service have a significant role in promoting the value of the value chain.The added value of telecom service investment has a negative correlation with the impact of the latter two types of manufacturing industry,because the transportation service industry and telecom service industry are still in the state of government regulation or natural monopoly in China,and the productivity is insufficient,affecting the downstream industry.Production.Based on this,this paper believes that the transformation and upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry,on the one hand,from the upstream of the industrial chain,increase R & D design investment,thereby improving the division of labor in the manufacturing value chain.On the other hand,it is to increase the proportion of investment in manufacturing services,mainly to increase investment in financial services and distribution services,and to increase productivity,thereby driving the production of downstream enterprises in the industrial chain.
