As market competition becomes increasingly fierce and the environment changes rapidly,promoting innovation and creativity is emphasized as an important way for organizations to obtain sustainable development.More and More organizations recognize team creativity as a key factor for success.Existing research shows that leadership has important impacts on team creativity.With the development of R&D teams' structure diversity and the emergence of self-management team,researchers begin to pay attention to shared leadership.Taking shared leadership as the core concept,this study explores the relationship and influence mechanism between shared leadership and team creativity from a cognitive perspective.This study uses an empirical research method,involving 70 R&D teams and 354 individuals in 3 information and technology companies as samples.Firstly,this study found the positive correlation between shared leadership and creativity.From a cognitive perspective,the mediation effects of team potency and team identification between shared leadership and team creativity are also confirmed.Team potency represents the members' positive belief toward their team effectiveness,and team identification represents members' identification with their membership.Shared leadership has an influence on the cognition of team capability and membership identity,then behavior,and finally promote team creativity.Secondly,this study shows the moderation role of task interdependence on the indirect effect between shared leadership and team creativity.This study explores the relationship and influence mechanism betweenshared leadership and team creativity.The conclusion makes contribution to theory of leadership and creativity.Meanwhile,it is suggested that R&D team managers emphasize and make use of shared leadership with attention to situational factors as task interdependence,so as to improve members' collective belief and membership cognition,then facilitate team creativity.
