In order to deal with the increasingly fierce market competition and complicated external environment,it is essential for modern organizations and enterprises to attach great importance to its innovation behavior within the organization,which has a lot to do with the organizations' sustainable competitive edge.In recent years,intrapreneurship has been developing prosperously within both internet and non-internet enterprises.And due to the advantages in flexibility,resource sharing,effective cooperation and communication,team working pattern has been widely used in enterprises,becoming the basic unit for internal innovation and entrepreneurship.As team leaders play a leading role in teamwork,the leadership and behavior may have a significant influence on team behavior.Based on cognitive theory and theory of motivation,this study explores the influencing mechanism of transformational leadership on intrapreneurship,with group efficacy as mediating variable and team emotional climate as moderating variable.Questionnaire survey on 42 team leaders and 137 team members in 42 teams is conducted to examine the model proposed in this paper.It is found that transformational leadership has a positive effect on intrapreneurship,and group efficacy plays a complete mediating role between transformational leadership and intrapreneurship.Team emotional climate moderates the relationship between transformational leadership and intrapreneurship.The study results have provided both theoretical and practical implications as follows.First of all,compared with current studies on entrepreneurship within organizations,this study focuses on individual intrapreneurship behavior within workgroups,which has expanded the research scope of intrapreneurship from organization level to team level.Second,this study involves both team leaders and team members,which is more in line with the real situation within workgroups,making the research more comprehensive and diverse.Thirdly,the study explores the role of team emotional climate in the relationship between transformational leadership and intrapreneurship,viewing the relationship from emotional perspective and thus enriching the research on influence mechanism of intrapreneurship.Besides,the study collects data from different areas,industries,companies and teams,providing practical implications for how to stimulate intrapreneurship in the cultural background of China.
