According to the sixth census data,China has an agricultural household accounts for 70.86% of the total population,China is still an agricultural country, agriculture, rural areas, farmers "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" is still the main factor restricting China's modernization.China's modernization,in a sense,is to achieve agricultural modernization and population urbanization;the household contract responsibility system currently adopted in our country is based on the family as the basic business unit.Farmers in agricultural production as a relatively independent organization contracted to manage collective land, and in accordance with the relevant provisions of the contract, production and management of their own;and this system has some drawbacks, such as: household as a unit, operating on a small scale,It is difficult to use large-scale mechanization and can not form economies of scale;the unit cost is high;the market competitiveness is weak and so on.After China joined the WTO(World Trade Organization)in 2001,the opening process of our domestic market has been speeding up,the market competition of traditional agricultural products has become increasingly fierce,it is difficult for individual farmers to become the main body of market competition, and it is difficult to meet the needs of the development of the large market. Therefore, the contradiction between "small-scale production and large market" is constantly increasing. In order to improve the market competitiveness and bargaining power of individual farmers,in order to form economies of scale and meet the needs of large market, farmers' professional cooperative organizations emerge as the times require. The farmers' specialized cooperatives overcome the problems of small scale and inefficiency existing in the household contract responsibility system, improve the degree of organization of the farmers, unite individual farmers, and improve their competitiveness and bargaining power to enter the market. In turn,it also increased the income of farmers. On the basis of summarizing the research at home and abroad, this papercollects the data by questionnaire investigation, taking the citrus planting industry in Rongxian County of Sichuan Province as an example.Based on the descriptive statistics of the basic characteristics of farmers, the characteristics of farmers' production and the sales of citrus, this paper adopts the multiple linear regression model to analyze the basic characteristics of farmers who have joined or not joined the cooperative, and the situation of citrus sales. To verify whether cooperatives have an impact on farmers' income. Finally, the following three conclusions are drawn:(1)the participation of farmers in cooperatives is conducive to the increase of their income;(2)the higher the education level of farmers, the more conducive to the increase of their income;(3)the services provided by the cooperative can have a positive impact on the income of the members;then,On the basis of descriptive statistical analysis and econometric model analysis, combined with the actual situation of the local, this paper puts forward some suggestions to promote the healthy development of cooperatives. This paper firstly introduces the research purpose, significance, research ideas, research methods, innovation and shortcomings of this paper;secondly,it combs and summarizes the domestic and foreign literature in related fields;thirdly,Is to explain the relevant concepts and theories of cooperatives;then, descriptive statistical analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaire;and then use multiple linear regression model to verify the hypothesis;finally draw the relevant conclusions.Combined with the actual situation, the corresponding suggestions are given.
