In a fiercely competitive environment,individual soloism has been difficult,more and more companies having maintained a competitive advantage by forming a work team.The team has gradually become a unit of operation that drives the company to flourish.However,people who are not sages,whether they are individuals,teams or organizations,cannot guarantee accuracy,so the occurrence of errors is inevitable.The way the team and the organization treat the errors,that is,the error management climate,will promote the team members to learn from the errors,share and transform the knowledge related to the errors,further affecting the overall innovation of the team,and ultimately improving the overall work performance of the team.In addition,researchs on error management climate and team performance(team innovation and team work performance)are not sufficient in this filed.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the relationship between error management climate and team performance deeply.Based on the National Social Science Fund Project,the paper mainly discusses two questions: we discuss the relationship of error management climate,error knowledge conversion and team innovation.On the basis of this question,we further discuss the relationship of error management climate,error knowledge conversion,team innovation and team work performance.Through the literature review of error management climate,error knowledge conversion,team innovation and team work performance,using the IPO model,we construct the research model where error management climate is the input variable,the error knowledge conversion is the process variable,team innovation is the initial outcome variable and team work performance is the final outcome variable and we propose the relevant assumptions.This study collect data through a questionnaire survey,having 394 teams(2884 questionnaires)of China Telecom Chongqing Branch as samples.The results show that:(1)in the direct effect,open-oriented error management climate(OEMC)can promote error knowledge socialization and externalization,team exploratory innovation and team work performance;blame-oriented error management climate(BEMC)can promote error knowledge combination and internalization,team exploitative innovation and team work performance;(2)in the mediation effect,the socialization and externalization of error knowledge mediate the relationship between OEMC and team exploratory innovation relationship;the combination and internalization of error knowledge mediate the relationship between BEMC and team exploitative innovation;(3)in the case of chain mediation,the socialization and externalization of error knowledge and team exploratory innovation have a chain mediation effect in the relationship between OEMC and team work performance.The combination and internalization of error knowledge and team exploitative innovation have a chain mediation effect in the relationship between BEMC and team work performance.Finally,based on the research results,some management suggestions are proposed to promote team innovation and ultimately improve team performance.
