The project managers in the construction enterprises are the key carriers of the company's executive capability and technical level.Excellent project managers are the backbone to ensure the quality of the project and achieve sustainable development of the enterprise.In order to establish more stable foothold in the market competition conditions and meet the more open market environment increasingly,the construction enterprises must strengthen the performance appraisal of the project managers to encourage their work initiative and responsibility,motivate their potential work ability for the development of the enterprise.Therefore,a scientific performance appraisal system of project managers has become a practical problem to be further studied and systematically solved.On the basis of reviewing the relevant theories and methods of performance appraisal systematically,and summarizing the characteristics of project management in construction enterprises,this thesis points out the main principles of design and implementation of performance appraisal system.And then,taking the project manager of ZX Company as the object,this thesis makes a diagnosis and analysis of the current situation of the project manager performance appraisal in ZX Company by the documents survey,questionnaire investigation and interviews.It is pointed out that the main problems of project manager performance appraisal in ZX Company include low recognition of all parties,unscientific system design,focus on form and process rather than essence and effect,lack of necessary training and ineffective application of evaluation results,etc.Then combining with several typical performance appraisal methods,such as MBO,BSC,KPI and 360 Degree Assessment,an improved appraisal system,its implementation process and measures for project managers of ZX Company are proposed.Furthermore,taking Project A of ZX Company as an example,the multi-level key performance index systems of the project,a division and a post is designed in detail.The implementation and communication process of performance appraisal and the application of evaluation results are discussed then.The expected effect of the improved new appraisal system is predicted and analyzed last.By combined with business strategy needs,the real management foundation of ZX Company and the contemporary mature theories and methods to make the improvement design of a new concise and efficient performance appraisal system,it will be helpful to the improvement of enterprise management system,the optimization of management tools and the promotion of business performance.The research results of this thesis can be referenced by other construction enterprises to improve the performance appraisal of project managers.
