Food safety not only concerns everyone's physical health,but also reflects the people's quality of life and their emphasis on their lives.As a frontier group of new social and new ideas,college students represent the most dynamic young people.They are high-level professionals trained by the country and are the pillar of society that promotes social progress.University canteens and surrounding catering services carry the daily diet of college students.The food safety is directly related to the physical and mental health of college students and affects the normal work order of the school.Therefore,it is of great theoretical value and practical significance to study and analyze the food safety problems in canteens and surrounding catering services in universities and propose effective management strategies.On the basis of literature research and induction,this article takes the university city of Chenggong New District,Kunming City as an example,relies on the questionnaire survey method,sorts out the food safety problems and risks existing in college canteens and surrounding catering services,and analyzes the reasons for their existence.The problems were researched and theoretically propose food safety management strategies for college canteens and surrounding catering services.The following main findings are drawn:University canteens and surrounding catering services mainly include both objective existence and subjective awareness to caused food safety problems and hidden dangers.Frequent food safety problems in the social environment,imperfect management systems resulting from the maintenance and reform of university canteen operating modes,and imperfect or unreasonable dining venues infrastructure are t he objective reasons of causing food safety problems and hidden dangers.The leaders do not attach importance to food safety work,the competent authority in charge of personnel is not professional,the food safety awareness of employees is weak,and the main consumer groups seeking innovation,change,taste,cost-effective food consumption behavior characteristics and weak food safety awareness Etc.are subjective factors that cause food safety problems and hidden dangers.In the presence of objective and subjective factors,occasional food safety incidents in the campus cafeteria and surrounding catering services mainly include: biological food poisoning,biotoxin poisoning,and chemical food poisoning.The research is guided by project management theory and methods.It mainly starts from the aspects of training and promotion of personnel quality,improvement and standardization of site facilities,supervision and management system and institution construction.Combining with the actual situation,it propos es college canteens and surrounding catering service foods some specific countermeasures and suggestions for security management.In short,college canteens and surrounding catering services are public catering service representatives with a high degree of concern in the social catering industry.Repeated exposure of accidental food safety accidents is not conducive to the food safety situation.Therefore,the construction and effective implementation of food safety research,supervision,and prevention and control systems is an important system project.It requires research workers and related departments to keep pace with the times,to constantly explore and practice.
