Industrial poverty alleviation has been widely concerned because of its important role in poverty alleviation strategy. As a basic means of production and governance in modern society, information communication is crucial to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of industrial poverty alleviation. However, the implementation of industrial poverty alleviation is inevitably faced with the obstacle of information poverty under the circumstance of the prominent multi-dimensional poverty characteristics of poverty-stricken households or households out of poverty. Therefore,in the current "post-poverty alleviation period",the elimination of such information poverty is not only of great significance to further promote industrial poverty alleviation, but also of great significance to the smooth realization of the strategic transformation from poverty alleviation to rural revitalization.Taking Mianyang city as an example, this paper selects a total of 44 indicators from the three dimensions of information application, information environment and information service to build an indicator system, and studies the working mechanism and operating conditions of information poverty elimination mechanism in industrial poverty alleviation by analyzing the links of effective information transmission and the breeding of information poverty. The data are from the questionnaire survey of the poor households participating in industrial poverty alleviation in Mianyang city. The object of the survey should have been the poor households that participated in industrial poverty alleviation in Mianyang city.Since Mianyang city has achieved comprehensive poverty alleviation, the object of the survey should be the households that participated in industrial poverty alleviation.A total of 515 questionnaires were sent out and all of them were returned,of which 461 were valid. The data analysis mainly used principal component analysis, binary logistic model analysis and factor test model. The conclusions of this paper are as follows: age and education level are positively significant and information service is negatively significant. It shows that old age, high degree of education and inadequate information services are the main causes of information poverty of households in industrial poverty alleviation in Mianyang city. The "cultural degree is higher, the easier to produce information poverty" this result contrary to common sense,by further analysis it is concluded that this phenomenon is due to the poverty families with higher education and industry were not associated with poverty alleviation work as the family main source of income, the resulting information preference led to a "selective information poverty".This kind of information poverty is not caused by the lack of information rights of information users, but by the choice of poverty alleviation households,so it is not true information poverty. Thus it can be seen that age and information service are the main factors that lead to information poverty in industrial poverty alleviation. This paper puts forward the policy recommendations include: first, through the government's fiscal policy will eliminate information poverty into the project of construction, maintenance and the development of industry information platform for poverty alleviation of preferential tax policy;Secondly, through the financial policies widen the channel of the industry of the construction of information platform of poverty alleviation funds; Then, through the talent policy to build a cross-industry,diversified,understand the professional information service talent team; Finally, the information expenditure of poor households after entering the 5G era will be stabilized through information policy.
