Research On The Selection Of Cooperative Industries Between China And ASEAN Countries

ASEAN is one of the priority directions of China's peripheral diplomacy and one of the important areas covered by the “Belt and Road” initiative.Since its establishment in 2010,the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area has become the world's largest free trade zone among the developing countries.In 2019,China was ASEAN's largest trading partner,while ASEAN became China's second largest trading partner.The establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area provides a broad development platform for China and ASEAN countries to adjust their industrial structure,strengthen industrial cooperation,and optimize the international division of labor cooperation system.In order to better promote the industrial cooperation between China and ASEAN,this article studies the choice of China-ASEAN cooperation industry.At present,there are many researches on the choice of cooperative industries,but there are relatively few studies on China and ASEAN.Based on the theory of regional division of labor and gradient transfer theory,this paper analyzes the industrial transfer index of China and ASEAN from the inter-industry,inter-region and time dimensions by using the inter-regional input-output model.The location quotient indicators and qualitative analysis of the influencing factors of industrial cooperation are used to clarify the comparative advantages of various industries in various countries.Finally,the choice of industrial cooperation mode between China and ASEAN countries is obtained.The research conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)For resource-intensive industries,China should increase cooperation with relevant industries in Brunei,Thailand,Malaysia,Indonesia and other countries.(2)For labor-intensive industries,China's related industries can cooperate with Cambodia,Myanmar,Laos,Vietnam and other countries to strengthen cooperation.(3)For capital-intensive industries,China can strengthen cooperation with Cambodia,Laos,Malaysia and other countries.(4)For technology-intensive industries,China should increase its relationship with Singapore and other countries Department cooperation.To this end,this article puts forward the following policy recommendations:(1)Speed up the construction of industrial cooperation parks in the region to make up for the shortcomings of the industry.(2)Increase core competitiveness of all industrial sectors in the free trade area and strengthen industrial cooperation in technology-intensive sectors.(3)Strengthen supervision,improve the relevant system of the free trade area,and improve the risk prevention and control guarantee system.
