As a strategic pillar industry of national economy,tourism has provided the primary driving force for regional economic development.However,the rapid development of tourism has caused a series of practical problems such as unfair distribution of regional resources and large regional economic gap.The unbalanced space between regions has seriously hindered the coordinated development between regions.Therefore,scientifically analyze the economic effects of tourism on regional economic development is to spleen,on the basis of economic effect of convergence theory to explore the tourism industry to regional economy convergence effect of the coordinated development of urban agglomeration in the middle reach of Yangtze river has a practical significance,at the same time,can provide important reference for our country the construction of urban agglomeration.Under the economic effects of tourism,this paper first discusses urban agglomeration in the middle reach of Yangtze river,inbound tourism and domestic economic development present situation,after analyzing the relationship between tourism and economic growth,on the basis of using the Douglas production functionmodel on urban agglomeration in the middle reach of Yangtze river in 31 cities 2000-2017,the economic effect of domestic tourism,inbound tourism economic effects,different subgroup partition,level of economic development and tourism specialized level differentiation under the condition of the economic effects of tourism,tourism development and the interaction mechanism of economic growth.Finally,based on the economic convergence theory,the convergence effect of tourism is verified by the systematic GMM model.The analysis results show that :(1)the level of domestic tourism,inbound tourism and regional economic development of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river are on the rise;The growth rate of domestic tourism and inbound tourism in the city group around poyang lake is faster than that of other sub-groups,with obvious differences in regional economic development levels.There is a positive correlation between domestic tourism,inbound tourism and regional per capita GDP(2)tourism has a positive promoting effect on city clusters in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river,and the growth effect of domestic tourism business appears to be greater than that of inbound tourism.Among them,material capital investment and urbanization development level are the key factors affectingregional economic growth;Among the three subgroups,the economic growth rate of tourism in the city group around poyang lake is significantly higher than that of the other two.(3)based on the classification of economic development level,it is found that the promotion effect of domestic tourism is more obvious in regions with high economic development level,while the promotion effect of inbound tourism is greater in regions with low economic development level than in regions with high economic development level;In the classification of tourism professional development,the promotion of tourism in the zone of high-level tourism professional development is more significant.(4)the per capita GDP gap in urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river shows an inverted "U" shape,and the regional gap among the three urban agglomerations shows a abnormal trend of narrowing.(5)there is absolute convergence in the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river,the urban agglomeration around changzhutan and the urban agglomeration around poyang lake.After the introduction of tourism,the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river is slightly improved.
